Fire Fighter Training
T. J. Dineen
Chief Eric Turner
| We are getting ready to put our last group of firefighters through the 64 hour Basic Firefighting. Other training classes in the next couple of months include: CPR classes, Extrication Training, and training with Metro Narcotics. At this time our Firefighters have completed their yearly EVOC driving class.
The Madison County Fire Department has a dedicated training committee under the direction
of Lt. Carl Alexander. It is the responsibility of the training committee to develop, research,
coordinate and schedule all formal training. It is the goal of the training committee to provide
our Firefighters with the knowledge to safely and efficiently manage all types of incidents.
On a weekly basis there is company training and more advance training taking place at individual stations.
